Spring Avon Nails/Products.

As most of you know I have recently become an Avon representative and so far I am loving it! I'm slowly building up my client base and I am loving seeing all the new products and letting my customers know about whats coming up. So I thought I would give you a little sneak peak and new stuff that you can buy in Campaign 7.

Firstly the new nail colours are to die for. They are so vibrant and easy to apply, these are defiantly going to be a Spring/Summer statement for me. My sister applied some stiletto acrylics on my short nails to give a dramatic look (of course these colours will look great on normal sized nails as well). We also added plastic bows and some green gems to give a 3D effect. We didn't notice till we finished that the colours together look like a strawberry! Perfect for Spring!

The colours I am wearing are 'Seduce me Strawberry' and 'Divine Lime'.

Nailwear pro+/Seduce me Strawberry,Divine Lime, Arctic Waters With Avon's 1st nail art brush and nib.

I can't wait to try out the blue Arctic Waters colour and add some nail art with their new decoration tool, it will be fun to try out stripes and dots and cute designs for Easter.

As well as getting some nail stuff I decided to buy and test out some newer products that are available to buy now. Also I want to get flawless skin for the Summer so I am looking forward to pampering myself and seeing how each product works on my skin. Once I have used these products I will do a mini review for you all.

Colourtrend/Think Fast Pink Lipstix

Foot Works/Heel Softening Cream

Magix/Cashmere Advanced Foundation in Nude/Tester.

Magix/Illuminating Face Perfector

Solutions Vibes/Power Cleaner and Pads

I really recommend getting some stuff in for the Spring/Summer time as they have great deals on skincare and beauty. This year I have noticed the nail colours are just exquisite with so many to choose from, everyone will find the right shade for them. I can't wait to stock up on all the colours haha! I also want to try some of the bronzing pearls to give that sun kissed look as now I'm pretty pale with no colour in my face what so ever. I'm really getting into skincare so I will be purchasing the new blackhead gel strips which are coming up in Campaign 7 I think. I'm also going to invest in a new toner I think.
Check out the Avon website where you live, here is the UK one, click here. Let me know what products are your essentials for Spring.

Also how cute is Rihanna's hair in this Instagram pic she posted a little while ago. I really cannot wait for my hair to be this length.
Loving the smoky eyes with red nails and lips.

Spring Makeup Look!

Hello everyone well its now Spring and its the time of year when all the flowers bloom and the sun starts to come out! Well if you live in England you will know that Spring this year is starting off a little differently! By differently I mean its been snowing! Now even though it is still cold and the sun isn't shining as much as we would like, the Spring trends are hitting the shops and I thought it would be a good time to play around with some makeup to see what look I could create.

I chose a simple black gel liner to frame the eyes but did a little bit of a twist to the classic cat eye then I added a pop of pink/orange to the lip.

To recreate this look use any gel black eyeliner and create the basic cat eye. Then from the end point start bringing it back in and trace it over your crease line. Fill your eyebrows in and put your favourite foundation on. I contoured a little with NYX Taupe and added a coral blush to the apples of my cheeks. For the lips I used a NYX lip liner in hot pink and then in the middle I used a bright orange. Add gloss for an enhancement.
You can add a hair accessory or bright hair band to enhance the Spring vibe.

Update!

So things have been going well I have been watching a lot of TV programmes. I have been loving Face Off (Special effects makeup show) and I'm near the end of season 3. I started watching Shameless US and fell in love with it. I managed to watch all 3 seasons in 3 days! I highly recommend it to anyone! After a slow start to the season Vampire Diaries has gotten so good, I still really want Klaus and Caroline to get together and I want Jeremy back alive! The Following is incredible I still can't work out what will happen next. Oh and in New Girl, Jess and Nick finally kissed!!!

Moving away from TV, I found a website called Want Worthy. Its basically a huge wishlist of stuff you want from every website in one place. Check out my wishlist here!!! Some of the stuff I want is a little pricey but its something to work up to getting.

Oh also Its been about 2 weeks since I shaved all my hair off and I think its sort of growing, it feels quite thick. I can't wait till its a cute pixie cut. I will post pictures regularly of the growth.

So its nearly Easter, I'm not quite sure what I will be doing yet but I can't wait to eat toasted hot cross buns and chocolate!! Haha! I would love to know what you all have planned this coming week.

Movies Tag!

I thought I would do another tag for you. I originally wasn't going to do this as I hate questions like 'what's your favourite thing of all time?' as there are so many choices and genres to take into account, but I thought I will just do this for fun and all answers are off the top of my head. I don't have one favourite of anything so here we go!

1. Favourite movie of all time? American Psycho

2. Favourite scene from that movie? He is dancing to Phil Collins I think and is wearing a plastic coat and then says hey Paul and whacks him in the head with a sledge hammer.

3. Favourite actors/actresses? Michael Fassbender, Bradley Cooper, Daniel Day Lewis, Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Alexander Skarsgard, Tom Hardy, Winona Ryder, Christian Bale, Audrey Hepburn to name a few.

4. Most annoying actor/actress? Kristen Stewart, Vanessa Hudgens

5. Best director? Steve McQueen (Shame, Hunger)

6. Favourite guilty pleasure? High School Musical 1,2 and 3.

7. Character from a movie that scares you? I don't know the character but Jumanji scared me.

8. Movie you love that everyone hates? Requiem for a dream. I don't think people hate it but most people can only watch it once as it has such a profound message, but I love it. Yes it's shocking and uncomfortable but it hits me in a place which not many movies do. Its the same with Hunger.

9. Movie you hate that everyone loves? Any of the Twilight films and Some of Harry Potter.

10. Favourite tear jerker? Now is good was the last film that really got me.

11. Favourite movie duo? Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook. Or Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan in Rush Hour.

12. Favourite animated movie? Happy Feet haha, it makes me smile.

13. Actor/actress crush? Most of my favourite actors/actresses are also my crushes. I especially love Michael Fassbender (his smile kills me), Tom Hiddleston and the beautiful Shannyn Sossamon.

14. Favourite movie villain? I loved Bane but Heath Ledger's Joker was fantastically creepy.

15. What movie surprised you the most? The Rules of Attraction. As I was a fan of American Psycho I was skeptical about this movie as its about his brother but its so different and is a great movie.

16. If you could only keep one movie what would it be? Breakfast at Tiffany's.

17. Movie recommendation? The Perks of Being A Wallflower!

18. If you could go back in time and marry actor/actress from back when (now old) who would it be? Marlon Brando. Jared Leto.

19. One remake you wish had never been made? Maybe not a remake but there was no need for a Titanic 2 or Dirty Dancing 2 or Grease 2.

20. About to die but could only watch one more movie what would it be? Something powerful that makes you feel euphoric like V for Vendetta or Avengers or something that makes you want to scream hell yeah!

21. Favourite movie genre/favourite movie from that genre? Older movies so like Sabrina or A Streetcar Named Desire.

22. What was the fist movie you watched in theaters? Star Wars I don't know which one but I was young and my auntie booked the front row seats and all I can remember was that my neck was killing and I was tired because it was 3 hours long.

I would love to see your answers to this tag!

Spring Tag!

My sister did the spring tag so I thought I would do it as well as its getting close to that time of the year!
So here we go! Also I tag everyone who reads this tag and I will be looking forward to reading your answers!

  1. Favourite spring nail varnish? I love pastels for spring I think it just brightens up and adds to any outfit. Currently I am wearing the new collection from Avon speed dry in the colour Sprightly Mint. This is perfect for spring and it is so east to apply!
  2. What is your must have Lip colour this spring? A pop of pink is perfect for this season, I normally wear a red lip but a bright pink is defiantly the way to go. This spring I am going to be wearing Avon's lip stix in think fast pink.
  3. Your favourite spring dress? I love 50s style sun dresses and slips. The pink dress shown is from River Island, I love the prom style dress and the pastel pink is perfect for Spring. I also love Rihanna's clothes on RI and I will defiantly be purchasing some of her collection.
  4. What's your favourite flower? I love daisies and roses.
  5. Your favourite spring scarf/accessory? Anything pattered is great for scarves and as my hair is short I will be wearing them around my head. Also big chunky necklaces are a must.
  6. What spring trends are you excited for this year? I've been seeing a lot of lace and crochet designs lately. Also mostly basics like a simple vest top or crop top are on all the top fashion sites in colours like grey and beige. These colours will be great as I said before with a pop of pink on the lip.
  7. Favourite spring candle? I love candles especially Yankee candles, all the floral smells are perfect for this season. My friend got me a bubblegum flavoured candle and it smells heavenly.
  8. Favourite body spray/perfume this spring? Lady Gaga's Fame perfume is probably going to be my scent the whole year. It looks dark but it has this sweet smell to it which I love.
  9. What is spring like where you live? Spring is so pretty in England, the daffodils come out and all the fields are bright green with splashes of colour. The air is always so fresh and its just a lovely time to go out.
  10. Are you a spring cleaner? Yes especially in my own room I like to re-arrange things around and change the look of things. Throughout my whole house we do like a big clean up and add things like flowers and potpourri to bring the outside inside.
  11. What's your favourite part about spring? The fact that everything that died off throughout winter starts to bloom and everything looks just fresh and rejuvenated. I love all the baby animals as well.
  12. Any plans for a spring vacation or break? Not really as funds are tight but if its a nice day we might go to some garden centers as even if your not buying anything its still nice to walk around.

Till next time

Starting Again . . .

This post is mainly going to be about hair! Yes if you have followed me for a while you would know I'm very indecisive about my hair, one minute I want it short then next long. Or maybe blonde then pink then dark!! ahhhh I wish I could just stick with one style and colour for more than 2 months.

I started dying my hair when I was 12, which is far to young but I wanted to be blonder. So I stared with highlights then my love for changing colour took over and for about 7 years my hair has been platinum blonde, bright red, orange, blue, black, dark brown, half black half blonde, purple and pink. I have had my hair bleached more than a 20 year old should have, but I don't care because its only hair and why not.

Normally when I decide I want a colour or cut I get it straight away because I'm too impatient. I have mostly used Rihanna as my inspiration through my hair journey. Your probably asking yourself 'how is her hair still alive?' well the answer is its not. I was planning on getting it all cut in a pixie cut like Rihanna's in her Elle 2013 cover but I would still have damaged ends so I decided to shave it all off!!

After seeing Jessie J shave her hair off for Comic Relief it gave me the push I needed to just get the clippers out and do it. Many people would say it is not feminine and yes without makeup on I do kind of look like a boy but its only hair it will grow to a pixie in 2 months, and before people ask no I'm not ill, I'm not a lesbian, I do not want a sex change and I have not gone mad (well maybe a little)!

Their have been many of the sexiest women on the planet who have shaved all their hair off, Demi Moore, Charlize Theron and of course Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta. All of these women rocked their close shaven locks and without all that hair to hide behind showed their beauty off. Don't worry I'm not going to compare myself to the likes of those women as I'm not even in their league but what I'm trying to say is do something different or out of the ordinary. You won't regret it, change may be scary but its good. Take yourself out of your comfort zone and don't listen to what anyone says, stick two fingers up to the haters and take control of your life!!

OOTD!

It's my cousin's 22nd birthday today and me and my mum just went round to her house for a curry and to say happy birthday.
I think this is a nice chilled out outfit for the day, I wore my chelsea boots and a cardy (not pictured) for a casual look, to change it up for night time stick some black heels or boots on for that extra pow!

Egyptian Print Dress/New Look
Necklace/Topshop
Bag/Elizabeth Arden
I love this Egyptian print its perfect and different to just any black midi dress, it also makes the Gold necklace pop!

This or That Beauty Tag

Hello so I realized I haven't blogged in a while and I was stumped as to what to blog about then I watched Amira Meki's YouTube video and copied these questions down so you all can do the tag! Oh also if you don't follow Amira on Youtube you should, she does great clothing haul's and hair and makeup videos.

I have altered a few of them as I live in England.

So here we go!!

Makeup

Blush or Bronzer? As I'm quite pale I prefer Blush and you can use a darker one to contour then add a pop of colour to the top of the cheek.
Lipgloss or Lipstick? Defiantly Lipstick I hate having anything sticky or gloopy on my makeup.
Eyeliner or Mascara? Mascara always opens up my eyes.
Foundation or Concealer? Concealer as I have really dark under eye circles.
Neutral or Coloured Eyeshadows? Neutral as it goes with anything and it's a lot easier to wear.
Pressed or Loose Eyeshadows? Pressed. I do not have time for eyeshadows that fall everywhere.
Brushes or Sponges? My real techniques brushes.

Nails

Long or Short? Long, I like mine in a dagger shape.
OPI or China Glaze? OPI
Acrylic or Natural? I can get the dagger shape with my natural nails but it can make them weak but acrylic can also be a pain. So I'm going to choose natural as at least then my nails can breathe haha.
Brights or Darks? Other than pastels I normally wear dark colours.
Flower or No Flower? I'm guessing this is about nail art, if it is then yes I love nail art it gives your nails another dimension other than just flat.

Body

Perfume or Body Spray? Perfume any day.
Lotion or Body Butter? Lotion I'm not a big body butter fan.
Body Wash or Soap? Body Wash defiantly.
Lush or Bath & Bodyworks? Well as we don't have a Bath & Bodyworks in England and I have never been to Lush I'm going to say Superdrug.

Fashion

Jeans or Sweatpants? Sweatpants. Comfort all the way.
Long sleave or Short? Short.
Dresses or Skirts? Dresses especially maxi ones.
Stripes or Plaid? Plaid I suppose, sometimes if Stripes are horizontal they do not do you any favors.
Flip Flops or Sandles? Flip Flops are cheaper but sandles are really nice. My favourite are gladiator sandles.
Scarves or Hats? Scarves because if you get smaller ones you can wrap them around your head.
Studs or Dangly Earrings? Not a huge earring fan but studs.
Necklaces or Braclets? Necklaces, I can't stand anything on my wrists.
Heels or Flats? Flats are great for comfort but I love my heels especially my platform ones.
Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots? Neither my Doc's do just fine.
Jacket or Hoodie? Jacket, Loving my Topshop Camouflage one right now.
Topshop or Dorethy Perkins? Topshop!!!!!!!!!
New Look or Miss Selfridge? I love Miss Selfridge but it can be a bit pricey so I will pick New Look they are great for basics and cheap staple clothes.

Hair

Curly or Straight? I have naturally straight hair but I love wavy hair.
Bun or Ponytail? Bun!
Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? Bobby Pins have been a lifesaver when I started to grow my hair out.
Hairspray or Gel? Always Hairspray.
Long or Short? Both. I love short hair and love long hair, I always find it hard to pick a hairstyle as I love both. Right now I'm thinking about going to get a pixie cut.
Light or Dark? Love light blonde hair and pastel colours but dark hair is my preference right now.
Side Swept Bangs or Full Bangs? Full Bangs.
Up or Down? Right now my hair is a mess so it will have to be up.

Random

Rain or Shine? Rain has always been my favourite.
Summer or Winter? Winter, I don't like being too hot.
Fall or Spring? Fall is my favourite time of the year, love the scenery and the crunching leaves.
Chocolate or Vanilla? CHOCOLATE!

A little update also is that I started Avon and so far I have completed my first campaign and I'm really enjoying it. Hopefully I will get to host an Avon party with all my friends and play a few games so they win prizes.

Loving Justin Timberlake new single 'Mirrors' so happy it hit Number 1, I can't wait to get his new album.

The new trailer for What Maisie Knew is out. I've been waiting for this for so long as Alexander Skarsgard is my imaginary husband! Check it out!

One more thing is Lana Del Rey has just done a photoshoot for L'Officiel Paris and she looks so stunning. I really wanted a pixie cut but this is swaying my mind as its perfect!

Audrey.

Audrey with her makeup artist Wally Westmore.

I love Audrey Hepburn more than words. She is perfect in every way and one of my idols.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favourite films of all time. She was so classy and elegant but still had a great personality and sense of humor. Her legacy will live on forever.

I wanted to make this post because I recently saw the new galaxy chocolate advert were they have used CGI to bring Audrey back to the big screen. When I first saw it I didn't really know what to think it was a little creepy to think they have the technology to do this. But after seeing it again I realized why they wanted to use such an icon to promote their brand, because she was pure class. I found out her sons agreed to help bring this advert to life in addition they also revealed she loved chocolate and she would have loved tho be a part of this.

Her beauty, style and presence emerge through the screen as though she had never left it. To a new generation they get to see what a true Hollywood star looks like.

Comment and let me know what you think!

Here are some pictures I found of Audrey on Google that show her beauty in every way. Plus her makeup especially those brows are to die for.

February Favourite's!

I hope you all had a great month I can't believe we are into the March already. So keeping up with my tradition well its not a tradition its only been 1 month but I hope I will continue to do it.

So let me begin with with the Hits February:

My Romwe Galaxy print leggings! These were delivered the other day and I'm in love with them. They only cost me £10 as I was a new customer. I got the pink/purple ones which look so good and the print is so clear and they feel amazing! The only downside is that they did take 2 weeks to arrive but you can expect that as I think the company is in America. Also my coat has a little bit of Velcro on it and it rubbed on them causing the material to go all fluffy so make sure you don't do that.

My purple hair!! As people who read my blog will know I've been trying to achieve the Porcelain Black style half black half white hair. I managed to get the blonde side to white roots and orange/yellow ends and I toned it which made it slightly grey. But I really didn't want to bleach it again so I put some diluted purple on to make it pastel and I really like it. As it was mixed with conditioner it will wash out in like 2 weeks so I can use different colours to change it up a bit until I have money to get it cut.

Rihanna's Pixie cut. I know she now has long ombre hair but I loved her short hair she rocked late last year. I had short hair a few years ago not pixie but still short and it was platinum blonde. Since then I have done so much to my hair so many more dyes and bleaches and I feel like I want to start again because I do eventually want healthy hair. Also as my sidecut is growing out its going to take ages to get that to my shoulder length hair and I want all my hair to grow at the same length. I know not many girls would chop all their hair off because its seen as not feminine or girly but I love short hair and I don't care if guys don't think it looks nice, I do and that's all that matters.

I have a job! Yes finally I'm doing something productive, last week I got stopped in the street to become an Avon Representative and I said why the hell not. With my anxiety I have felt that getting a 9 to 5 job would just freak me out because I hate letting people down so by doing Avon I can get out the house at my own pace and pick my hours. I have always loved Avon products and as I do want to be a makeup artist I think this is a great platform.

My Mad Fat Diary was brilliant. Its set in the 90s and its about a girl called Rea who comes out of a institute and this series shows her getting her life together. There is great music in this series and I think every girl can relate to Rae. The last episode I cried like a bitch, I'm so happy its coming back for season 2.

I watched the film Gia the other day and it blew me away. I have always wanted to watch it as I am a big fan of Angelina Jolie. Its a tragic real story of the supermodel Gia Carangi who was discovered when she was only 17, made it big and then her decline into drug use. This film hits you because it shows how fast you can go from something to nothing. Gia was a real person with real problems but she was the face of 70s fashion and that's all people saw. She was alone and hurting and this film portrays that. Jolie is fantastic and is so beautiful even stripped back with no makeup on. I recommend this film to everyone.

Now the misses of February:

No Money!!! I pretty sure every month I'm going to be adding this. Times are tough we just have to ride it out. Shitty but its life. Hopefully with Avon I can earn a few more pennies.

Lack of sleep. I've been trying to get my sleeping pattern back to normal but even though I've been going to be earlier I can't seem to fall asleep. So then I get headaches because I'm tired. Its a vicious cycle which needs to break because I like my sleep!

Arm and Hammer Whitening Toothpaste. I know this is kind of random but its my list haha! I bought this to make my teeth whiter but I haven't noticed any change and its leaves a funny taste in my mouth, I do not recommend this at all. I'm going to try Colgate next!

Having to cut all my nails short because I grew them so long they were starting to break and bend. Even though this in the long term will be good for my nails it sucks to have short nails. I think it makes my fingers look stumpy. My sister put clear acrylic overlays on them to help them get stronger and then ombre'd them.

Tell me in the comments what your hits and misses of February were!

Till next time
